MFA Oil Company, a farmer-owned energy cooperative, raised over $150,000 for Feeding Missouri at its 10th Annual Charity Golf Scramble and Concert. Over 240 golfers attended the event, which was held on June 3, 2024, at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Missouri.

“At MFA Oil, we believe in the power of community and the importance of helping those in need,” said Jon Ihler, MFA Oil president and CEO. “Our partnership with Feeding Missouri exemplifies this commitment as we join forces to combat food insecurity across our state. With this $150,000 donation, we proudly support Feeding Missouri’s efforts to provide nourishment and hope to individuals and families facing hunger. Together, we strive to build a brighter, more resilient future for all Missourians.”

The event featured a golf tournament, a dinner and a private concert by country music artist Carly Pearce.

“MFA Oil’s generous donation is a testament to the company’s commitment to serving the community,” said Heather Hargrove, Feeding Missouri executive director. “We are sincerely grateful for their support of Feeding Missouri’s mission to fight hunger and provide vital assistance to individuals and families in need. With partners like MFA Oil supporting us, our food banks are better equipped to aid the 1 in 7 neighbors experiencing hunger in the state.”

In April, MFA Oil, Break Time and Big O Tires announced they were working with Feeding Missouri to fight hunger by addressing food insecurity and building stronger, more resilient communities throughout the state. MFA Oil encouraged people to donate to the organization, stating that it will match donations dollar for dollar up to $10,000 throughout 2024.

Additionally, the company is collecting food and household items at all MFA Oil bulk fuel and propane plant locations in Missouri.
