Fortune released its annual Fortune 500 list this month, marking the 70th anniversary of the ranking. Six convenience retailers made the 2024 list: Murphy USA (214), Delek (244), Global Partners (247), Casey’s General Stores (274), ARKO (453) and Par Pacific Holdings (454).

ARKO made the list for the third consecutive year. ARKO ranked at No. 453, moving up seven places on the list from its ranking in 2023 and 45 places from its 2022 debut at No. 498.

“This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire team, as well as our commitment to strategic growth and operational excellence,” said Arie Kotler, Chairman, President, and CEO of ARKO Corp, in a statement. “We are pleased with the growth we have seen, which is a testament to the strength of our business model and our relentless focus on delivering value to our customers, employees, and shareholders. As we expand our footprint and enhance our offerings, we remain dedicated to driving further success and innovation in the convenience store industry."

Major oil companies and fuel suppliers also appeared on the list, including ExxonMobil, Chevron, Marathon Petroleum, ConocoPhillips and HF Sinclair.

The revenue threshold for making the 2024 Fortune 500 was $7.1 billion, said Fortune. Walmart ranked No. 1 for the 12th year in a row, followed by Amazon, Apple, UnitedHealth Group and Berkshire Hathaway.

Earlier this year, ARKO announced that it would convert some c-stores to dealer sites in a multi-year transformation plan.
