Buc-ee’s will break ground on a new store in Lafayette, Louisiana, on Monday, November 9, according to Mysanantonio.com. The 74,000-square-foot travel center will be located at Interstate 10 and Louisiana Avenue and will feature 120 fueling positions.
"This I-10 Louisiana location is finally happening, and we could not be happier to be here in Lafayette," said Stan Beard, Buc-ee's director of real estate and development in a release. "From Texas to Florida, Buc-ee's is the perfect place to stop for clean restrooms and great BBQ, over and over again!"
About a year ago, Buc-ee’s broke ground on its first Louisiana store, a 74,000-square-foot travel center in Ruston.
In North Carolina, construction for the retailer’s Mebane store is still underway, with plans to open in 2027. Buc-ee’s is reportedly also pursuing permits for a new location in Rocky Mount.
“In a letter dated October 12 inviting adjacent property owners to a neighborhood meeting, Buc-ee's announced its intention to purchase approximately 34 acres at the southeast corner of I-95 and Highway 4. The meeting is a required element of the limited rezoning submittal to the City of Rocky Mount. The proposed Buc-ee's would occupy 74,000 square feet and offer 120 fueling positions,” a release stated.
As of May 2026, Buc-ee’s was planning to enter six new states by the end of 2027, including Louisiana, Kansas and Florida.
On October 19, The Wills Group held a grand opening for its Pike Creek, Delaware, location. The first 50 guests in line received an exclusive golden tumbler, giving them access to free beverages for a year when they bring their tumbler back to Dash In. Guests also received complimentary tap wall beverages throughout the day.
As part of the grand opening celebration, The Wills Group donated $14,000 to four local organizations in the Pike Creek community:
- $2,000 to Saint Mark's High School
- $2,000 to Mill Creek Fire Department
- $5,000 to Delaware Regional Dream Center, Inc.
- $5,000 to Christina Conservancy
Royal Farms is expanding in North Carolina with the opening of a new store in Goldsboro planned for November 19. The store will have 14 fuel dispensers.
