Sheetz is celebrating National Pork Month by bringing pork back to its menu with the launch of a new lineup: “The Big Pig.” The Big Pig will hit all of Sheetz’s more than 850 locations starting October 28, 2026, the retailer said in a press release sent to NACS.
“The Big Pig is bringing a much-requested favorite back to the Sheetz menu and into your game day lineup. Americans consume nearly 50 pounds of pork per person each year, roughly a pound a week, and Sheetz fans have made their own cravings clear: BBQ pork has been one of the most requested menu items since it was retired in 2020. Six years later, its return goes big,” Sheetz said.
The Big Pig lineup features six ounces of seasoned pulled pork piled onto a split-top bun, with combinations of toppings and sauces ranging from a BBQ classic to a bacon-loaded bite or a Cuban-inspired stack. All sandwiches are available starting at $6.99.
The Big Pig lineup features:
- Big BBQ Classic: “Seasoned pulled pork meets BBQ sauce, sliced red onions and crisp pickle chips. The onions bring a sharp bite, the pickles add tang and crunch, and the sauce ties the whole stack together.”
- Big BBQ Goldie: “Carolina Gold BBQ sauce coats the pulled pork, with crispy onions and pickle chips adding crunch to every saucy bite.”
- Big BBQ Onion: “Pulled pork and BBQ sauce get a crunchy finish from crispy onions and pickle chips.”
- Big Boom Boom: “Pulled pork gets a pork-on-pork upgrade with sliced bacon, pickle chips and Sheetz’s signature Boom Boom sauce.”
- Big Cuban: “Pulled pork shares the bun with Applewood smoked ham and Swiss cheese, layered with pickle chips, mayonnaise and yellow mustard. Smoky ham, creamy cheese and a tangy mustard finish give this stacked sandwich a distinctly different take on The Big Pig.”
- Big Sh’picy: “Pulled pork topped with jalapeños, pepperjack cheese and jalapeño ranch for a sh’picy kick.”
“The best part of bringing back a fan favorite is seeing what our customers do with it next,” said Jacee Scoular, director of brand strategy and design at Sheetz. “The Big Pig is our big welcome back to BBQ pork, with premium pulled pork and bold topping combinations. But adding it as a protein option on our MTO menu puts the next move in our customers’ hands. They can discover a new favorite or give their usual order a smoky BBQ twist. We bring the quality and flavor; they make it their own.”
In other recent Sheetz news, earlier this month the retailer cut the ribbon on its $169 million food manufacturing and distribution center in Findlay, Ohio.
“The new facility, which officially begins operations on October 11, 2026, will create more than 750 jobs over the next five years, bringing significant new employment opportunities to Findlay, Hancock County and the Northwest Ohio region. More than 200 people are currently employed at the facility,” Sheetz said
