Valor Oil’s Hop Shops is “turning up the heat and the disco” with the official launch of its Disco Dough Pizza Company, a new pizza concept rolling out at participating Hop Shops locations beginning September 1, the retailer said in a press release sent to NACS. Located throughout Kentucky and Ohio, select Hop Shops “disco bathrooms” elevate the restroom experience when customers “push the red button” and turn the ordinary bathroom into a disco bathroom.
“Known for transforming an everyday convenience store stop into an experience through its world famous disco bathrooms, Hop Shops is bringing that same fun, unexpected energy to its foodservice program. Disco Dough Pizza Company was created to give customers another reason to make Hop Shops part of their daily routine, offering hot, fresh pizza made for customers on the go,” Hop Shops said.
Hop Shops said the launch represents its continued interest in elevating customer experience and expanding its fresh food offerings.
“At Hop Shops, we’ve always believed a convenience store can be more than just a place to fuel up,” said Damon Bail, vice president of retail operations and marketing. “Our disco bathrooms showed us how much customers respond when you take something ordinary and make it memorable. Disco Dough is the next evolution of that mindset. We want our food to be something people are genuinely excited to stop in for.”
NACS featured Hop Shops’ disco bathroom in its 2024 Ideas 2 Go series. Select Hop Shops “disco bathrooms” elevate the restroom experience and create a memorable visit that customers post about on social media. The video can be seen here.
