Chick-fil-A debuted a new, limited-time sandwich offering for the summer: The maple pepper bacon sandwich. According to the company, the new sandwich “balances the delicate flavors of sweet maple syrup combined with a gentle heat and delicious backyard grill flavor.”

The sandwich, first tested in 2023 in Indianapolis and Lexington, Kentucky, consists of a grilled lemon-herb marinated boneless chicken breast served on a buttery and toasted maple-flavored brioche bun, and is topped with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, bacon hand-tossed in a brown sugar and pepper blend and sweet and spicy pickles.

Allison Duncan, Chick-fil-A’s director of menu and packaging, said that the sandwich is “a delicious blend of sweet, savory and spicy, offering an entirely different flavor profile than any other sandwich we’ve launched.”

Duncan also said the QSR has “several new and exciting offerings in the pipeline.”

Additionally, Chick-fil-A announced that its seasonal peach milkshake will return to all locations on June 10 through August 24 for its 15th year. Each milkshake combines the QSR’s Icedream dessert and peach puree and is topped with whipped cream and a cherry.

McDonald’s also debuted a new sweet treat on its menu this summer: the Grandma McFlurry. Available now for a limited time, the new McFlurry “features a delicious syrup and chopped, crunchy candy pieces (like grandma's favorite treat that she hid in her purse!)—all blended in our creamy vanilla soft serve.”

“Grandmas have always held a special place in our hearts, and today they’re having a major moment influencing culture—inspiring trends in fashion, decor and now, even food with our newest McFlurry,” said Tariq Hassan, chief marketing and customer experience officer at McDonald’s. “The Grandma McFlurry tastes like a trip down memory lane, and we’re excited to give our fans that experience while honoring the grandma-figure in all our lives.”
