Ohio’s first QuikTrip, located in Dayton’s Edgemont neighborhood, is set to open on Thursday, June 6, reported the Dayton Daily News. The new store is located at 2121 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd., near the intersection of Cincinnati Street immediately west of Interstate 75.

The location is one of the company’s travel center models and measures 8,300 square feet. For size comparison, the Dayton Daily News pointed out that a nearby Love’s location is 7,850 square feet, and local Sheetz locations are around 6,100 square feet.

The new QuikTrip travel center will offer 16 fuel pumps for cars and six diesel bays for trucks.

Earlier this year, the convenience retailer opened its first location in the Oklahoma City metro area with a travel center in Moore. The location included a spacious store design, along with larger lots that can service 20 vehicles for gas and five diesel bays for trucks. The Moore location will also include a full-service QT Kitchen, donuts, sub sandwiches, wraps, pizza by the slice and roller grill items, the company said.

QuikTrip also confirmed this year that it is looking to enter the Florida market, submitting an application to build in Escambia County, the Pensacola News Journal reported in March. The proposed store is planned to be more than 5,000 square feet and include 47 parking spaces, eight gas pumps and an air station for automobiles.

Meanwhile, Royal Farms announced that it is expanding its presence in Richmond, Virginia, with its third location in the area set to open on June 24. The new store will be located at 2401 Mechanicsville Turnpike, a seven-minute drive from Virginia Credit Union LIVE! at Richmond Raceway.

TravelCenters of America continues to expand its presence in Louisiana, opening its fourth location in the state in the last six months. The location offers 10 diesel fueling positions with diesel exhaust fluid, six gasoline fueling stations, 100 truck parking spaces, 20 car parking spaces, eight showers and a casino to come in the fall.
